About El Nido’s Pacoima FamilySource Center

El Nido operates two of LA’s 19 FamilySource Centers (FSCs), serving Pacoima and South LA. These one-stop resource hubs deliver services focused on stabilizing housing and other basic needs, working with the household to build a more financially secure future, and supporting academic programs for greater academic achievement.

• Funder: City of Los Angeles, LA Community Investment for Families Department (CIFDLA) 

• Clients: Low-income LA City residents (income-based eligibility)

Pacoima FSC 

• Adult Services: Case management, pre-employment/employment support services, legal workshops and assistance, ESL, financial coaching, rental and utility assistance, housing referrals, and basic needs like food, clothing, public transportation, school supplies, baby formula, and diapers. 

• Service Areas: LA City Council District 7  

• Youth Services: Tutoring (6–12 grade), college prep, workforce readiness 

• Started: 2009 

• Outcomes: 3,000 individuals served, $500K in increased family income, 75 youth improve academics 

• Recognition: 4-Star City rating 2017 & 2018
