To say the pandemic has taken a toll on our students would be an understatement. Kids may be back in the classroom, but many are struggling to catch up. That’s where you can help.
We are looking for homework helpers for 3rd through 12th graders in English (basic reading comprehension, high school literature analysis, Shakespeare) or math (arithmetic, fractions and decimals, algebra, calculus). The time commitment is one hour per week, but the impact you’ll make will last a lifetime. The biggest requirement is that you enjoy working with kids. Tutoring can take place after school on weekdays or on weekends.
ADULT TUTORING REQUIREMENTS:
Attend a tutoring Orientation
Work with tutoring team to submit attendance
Understand the living situation that students are facing such as lack of private space, proper computer equipment, and family issues that might require rescheduling a session
Live Scan background check (approx. $30)
MINOR TUTORING REQUIREMENTS:
Parent approval
Applicant has one recommendation from a teacher or counselor
Attend a tutoring Orientation

This is a wonderful opportunity for seniors to connect with a younger generation, or high school students who are looking to give back by helping their peers.
