Julie Camacho is a Case Manager for Housing is Key, a CA Rent Relief program assiting families and indivdiuals affected by the pandemic in Los Angeles. She is a Graduate student at Cal State University of Northridge, obtaing her Master Degree in Diverse Community Development Leadership.
In 2016, after obtaining her Bachelors Degree in Sociology; Criminology and Criminal Justice minor in Psychology, Julie embarked her journey teaching English in North and Southern China for four years. Julie indulged herself into the culture and language and speaks Mandarin as her third language. Prior to the pandemic Julie returned to the United States and got involved with non profits in Los Angeles. She was a Career Coach in South Los Angeles serving the monolingual Spanish community, providing job readiness workshops (interview, training and resume building) through Work Source. She served as a Community Ambassador for Vaccinate All 58 Campaign for a non profit in the San Fernando Valley, Pacoima, assisting and encouraging community members to get vaccinated.
Julie volunteers in her community, San Fernando Valley and with Unified We Serve an organization at CSUN. She believes the best way to serve your community and giveback is through volunteering.
