El Nido Family Centers is proud to announce a new grant and partnership with Cedars-Sinai and project partner Alba-Walker Life Strategies in an innovative non-profit and private practice collaboration to expand mental health services to families affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The goal of the project is to improve the mental health and family functioning of low-income residents in the San Fernando Valley and South Los Angeles who have been hardest hit by the COVID-19 health crisis and its social/economic effects. The grant will support uninsured families ineligible for Medi-Cal who are in need of professional counseling to address mental health issues including anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, family conflicts, social isolation, substance abuse, anger management and developmental disruption or regression in children and youth.
On behalf of our Board, staff, and the families we serve, we are extremely grateful to Cedars-Sinai for their confidence in El Nido and their investment in the well-being of the broader community. We look forward to continuing to support Angelenos in need as we work through this crisis.
