Last month El Nido’s Business Academy students attended several classes with special sessions by Pacific Western Bank. Representatives Jerry Mendoza and Peter Issa conducted a finance presentation for the youth and provided them with take away info bags. The youth enjoyed learning about business, management, HR and finance.
Launched in April 2017, El Nido’s Business Academy offers career development to students in independent study school programs. Students learn about running a business and entrepreneurship, product development and business planning. Business Academy classes benefit from presentations by corporate partners, working or retired professionals who share their expertise in topics such as finance, human resources, marketing, public relations, research/data analysis, and product development.
A goal of our Business Academy is to help students discover and learn about occupations and areas of study that they may not have previously considered, and give them educational and vocational aspirations that will lift them from poverty and help them attain their full potential.
