Social Work Supervisor

FamilySource Center, Pacoima

Major Responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing the work of a unit or group of case managers, creating a supportive, productive work environment, and for meeting agency/contract performance objectives. Primary responsibilities include the supervision and training of staff, quality assurance services, tracking and monitoring assistance, oversees individuals and families who are high risk or in need of crisis intervention, and working in collaboration with Program Director to ensure programmatic compliance for Pacoima FamilySource Center program.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Human Services, Non Profit Management).
  • Demonstrates high degree of initiative to develop and maintain tracking system for Youth and Adult Service Outcomes.
  • Excellent planning, communication and organizational skills. Attention to detail.
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills.
  • Group facilitation experience highly preferred.
  • Strong collaboration skills that support staff and overall program needs.
  • Demonstrates essential supervisory skills sufficient to supervise small group of employees. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze Case Manager documentation, Data Entry input, and communicates deficiencies to staff.
  • Problem solve and implement strategies for improvement to meet program contract expectations.
  • Experience working with individuals with diverse ethnic backgrounds and at-risk populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) programs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Supervisory skills: 1 year (Preferred)
