El Nido Family Centers a non profit social service agency has an immediate opportunity for a Case Manager to join our busy FamilySource Center program in Pacoima. The Case Manager provides case management, intake and assessment, assist with youth and parent groups, and outreach services to youth and their parents; assists client/family locate community resources, especially resources that will help them develop self sufficiency. Oversees specific activities provided at the Family Source Center year round and works directly with LAUSD PSA Counselor onsite. Acts as mentor to clients and educates them in the area of academic and vocational development, Financial Coaching, asset building and budgeting; housing/homeless services, employment and college readiness, parenting, immigration, and other issues to promote family stabilization and self sufficiency; works with collaborative partners at a fast pace – one stop service center. Participates in annual program events and attends/conducts outreach in community resource fairs.
Qualified candidates will have a B.A. in related field and 2 years relevant case management experience preferred; proficient in MS word and Excel, accurate basic math skills; typing 45-50 wpm; bilingual/Spanish required; ability to work some evenings and Saturdays.
